Are you looking for digital paintings in an Art Deco inspired style, OR A SASSY WEBCOMIC?
THEN I MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP...
Siv Østerbye, Digital Painter
At Your Service
My Danish webcomic - "Helvede er de andre"
Some artists paint on a physical canvas; I prefer a digital one
I do custom digital paintings for clients both big and small.
I also work on my own projects from time to time, and am the co-author of a children's book.
I am also the mother of Saga
(b. 2018) and often use her as a motif for testing out ideas. She also experiments with digital art - which her mom of course loves!
MAP OF AFRICA
I was asked to create a digital painting of the continent of Africa as a gift for a client, who wanted to give it as a gift for a colleague, who was leaving.
I have worked for multinational giants and for private individuals
Naturally, most of the work for bigger clients is heavily NDA'ed, and not available for public display - but that doesn't make the work any less interesting!
I am equally happy working for small companies as for big ones. For me, the important thing is that I can use my art to help someone tell their story.
OLD TRAM CAR
The client wanted me to create a picture of an old Copenhagen cable car, to use as part of a Christmas gift. Researching this was quite fun, as I love trains.
I use a technique called
Intuitive Surface Tracing
Simply put, an artist using IST converts a photograph to a digital painting by “sensing the surfaces” and assigning colour and shape to them. Most of my work uses IST.
One of the advantages to using Intuitive Surface Tracing is that I can show off half-finished work; something I've found that most clients really appreciate!
A personal project, which I made for Saga - who loves dinosaurs in all shapes and sizes.
You're more than welcome to
reach out about a project
If you have a project that needs the help of someone with my skill set, feel free to reach out. We'll see what is possible, and whether I can add value.
I work solo, but also with partners - among them my boyfriend Claus Raasted, a consultant of many facets. Find him at www.clausraasted.com
Since paying by the hour makes no sense for the sort of work I do, my prices vary depending on client and circumstances.
I like it that way.
If you want to get in contact and discuss an idea, please reach out to Claus Raasted at firstname.lastname@example.org / +45 22 34 24 80
Not only is he Saga's father. He is also my agent, and takes care of all client communication, so I can focus on what I do best - digital painting!
